The Dreams Landing 2012 Budget

Hello Everyone,

At the outset, please know that any Dreams Landing owner who wishes to serve on the Budget Committee automatically is a member of the committee.

At its meeting on Wednesday, September 28, the DL Board briefly discussed the draft proposed budget for 2012 that the Board would receive from Brodie Management the following week. The draft since has been received. Over the next three weeks or so, the Budget Committee will be reviewing the draft budget, asking questions, doing research as deemed appropriate, and making revisions to the draft.

On Wednesday, October, 26, the Budget Committee will present the Board with its recommended operating budget for 2012. The Board will discuss, make revisions perhaps, and then vote on a proposed budget for 2012. This proposed budget then will be distributed to all Dreams Landing owners for review, consideration, and comment.

On Wednesday, November 30, the Board, as part of its November meeting, will hear from owners regarding any concerns they may have about the budget and consider suggestions and requests for change. Sometime after the hearing, perhaps later on November 30, the Board will vote final approval of an operating budget for 2012.

The first meeting of the Budget Committee to address the 2012 Operating Budget will be on Wednesday, October 5, at 7:30 p.m., in the DL Board room. If you would like to serve, please come and bring your planning calendars so that we might schedule a series of meetings to be held over the following two to three weeks or so. If you wish to serve on the Budget Committee but cannot attend on October 5, please let me know sometime before October 5 and please be prepared to let me know your schedule of available evenings to attend meetings.

By the way, please mark your calendar for the time and date for the annual meeting of the Council of Unit Owners which will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2012.
