Grounds Update

You have probably noticed the plant and tree work we promised has been delayed. This is due to the quality of the trees and plants at the nursery we use not being the quality we require. We are changing to another nursery and suspect the work will be done next week.

Thank you for your patience.

When is an offer on a house a contract?

Contract law-- especially the concept of offer and acceptance --can be a tricky area.

Waterfront Construction Status Report

· We are well past the halfway point to completion. Approximately 2/3 of the stone work is complete. All of the filter cloth beneath the stone is in place.

· John has begun to remove the old boardwalk, starting at the downriver end. This has revealed several deep voids behind the bulkhead. This is positive evidence of how critical this project is so as to avoid a catastrophic failure. Piles are now being driven which will anchor the new boardwalk.

· The barge is presently outside of the marina basin and should not be an impediment to anyone getting out of and into slips. It will need to go back in between the piers one more time, probably starting the middle of next week. Under any event, it will be removed for weekends. All work requiring the barge to be positioned in the basin should be completed in a week or so.

· John has driven new piles to reconstruct the launch ramp. He plans to rebuild the ramp shortly.

· Small stones will be placed along the side of the workshop building to counter the soil erosion.

That’s about all for now. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
